Have you ever gone to a movie that you saw many commercials for, only to find that all the good parts of the movie WERE the commercials, and the rest of the movie was garbage, or just not worth seeing, not to mention wasting money on?
I have had that happen to me too many times to count. I know that advertising is a great way for getting the public to spend more money, but as far as I see it, if I have to waste my time watching a movie that isn't worth the money I am paying to see it, the less likely it is that I will even go to the movie in the first place.
The sad fact is that the movie industry will continue to make money whether or not I choose to go see a movie, or rent one on video. There really is no way to tell if the movie will be good or not.
I have seen many movies that have been made from a book, and the movie version is rarely, in my humble opinion, a very acurate account of the book itself. A persons imagination is the key player in reading a book, and you have these images, and ideas set in your mind, that get altered when you see the movie version. There have been a few select that were worth it, but not enough to warrant mentioning, in my humble opinion, again.
That is a very nice reason to have this blog, I can state an opinion, and there it is, anyone who sees it can comment on it, or just hear it and be done with it. What a wonderful outlet. I belive that all of us should have blogs...it won't be long..I bet, until everyone has something like it. Anyway, I am not upset about this movie issue. I love watching movies, and will continue to see them, when I have the extra money, but I am starting to be more select about which ones I go see, as many are being made, and its difficult to tell what you are really going to see .
It may not make much difference to Hollywood, but it will matter to ME.
Thank you for visiting again.
