Today, is 2 days short of one month since my son fell out of a window. He gets his cast off tomorrow and his eye is almost all the way white again. So, God has smiled on us and his angels are always here with us.
On another bright note, a few weeks ago, Chris, my boyfriend of 1 year and I became engaged.
He proposed to me formally in front of most of his immediate family. I glady accepted and I look forward to becoming the wife of such wonderful and caring man. Never in my life, since my dad, have I seen someone who is so considerate and compassionate to others as much as Chris is.
I was so ready to give up on men completely when I met him, and very skeptical about his motives, but after I let down my guard and let him into my heart, I soon found out that he is a great man...in many ways, and if anyone is lucky here, it is me, for I have found that soul mate we all look for most of our lives.
A higher power is working above us all and guides us along, and I feel that God has seen it fit for me to find him and for him to find me.
I am blessed beyond words.

I know that my life with Chris will be a great and wonderful one.

Chris takes a trolly to the jewellers stores
Buys a twenty carat golden ring
Takes it back to Heidi waiting at the door
And as he gives it to her she begins to sing.
