Well, I am well into week 8 now, morning sickness is still in full swing, as is my unending fatigue..the good news is I don't have to pee 100 times a day anymore, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I am filling out in places I never dreamed of and in some ways, its great, just ask Chris!! In other ways, it's hard, I don't fit into maternity clothes yet, but none of my regular clothes fit at all.. Hello stretch pants.
We have our first official Dr visit next week, the first chance to see the fish in all it's glory, heartbeat and all, I am so excited to finally see the culprit of all my ailments over the last 30 or so days.
Shortly after I posted last, Donovan's first tooth came out, with a little tugging help from mom, here is a picture from it right after it came out.
In addition to working full time, Chris has been terribly busy filling it at the school, so he is gone a lot more than he or I would like, but since the term is over in October, so we are just waiting for that.
The special advocate who was appointed by Chris's ex wife's attorney filed her report a long time ago and her recommendation to have the kids spend 50% of the time with Chris and 50% of the time with their mom went into effect in late August, but as we suspected, there is more argument regarding the best interest of his kids, so we may be going back to the courts to work it all out. If you saw the dramatic improvements in both kids over the last year, it would amaze you, and we both agree that 50% time at our house is just what they need.
Pray for Katie and Connor that this trend continues.
I am officially finished with work September 15, to give my best efforts at being a full time stay at home mom, I feel I am more than qualified.
I can't wait, to be honest. I feel like I missed out on so much of my son's first real year of school since I was working full time, I want to make some of that up.
Being home will give me time to get the house ready for the baby as well, and the time I need to rest and make sure I stay healthy during the next 7 months.
Until the next time....

About Me
- Heidi
- I was raised in Colorado, but born in Kansas, so I guess that makes me a Kansas native. But home is where the heart is, right? I am a stay at home mom, wife and free spirit. I have an amazing husband who lights up my life with his mere presence in it. I have two amazing sons Donovan, who is 10 years old and Owen who is 3 years old. I am also mommy to a daughter named Julianna Alyse who was born in January 2009. I also have two wonderful step children, Katie who is 15 and Connor who is 11. I have weathered many storms, an eating disorder, and divorce, not to mention life itself and here I am stronger for it!!I love movies, games, (not the head type, thank you) and spending time with my kids, my husband, and my family.
