A long hiatus

Posted by Heidi

It dawned on me the other day, that I have not posted in months!!

I guess I have some catching up to do.

My life got kind of crazy right after Thanksgiving, as I was offered a position as Assistant Manager of the Santa Set at the mall, where I was working last year. So in addition to the three days a week I work for a close friend of mine, I was working four days at the mall.
So in essence, I was holding one full time job, and two part time jobs..what the heck was I thinking???
I managed to get through it okay..albeit tired..I am done!!

Christmas was wonderful, although, I missed Donovan terribly. This was his Dad's year to have him over Christmas, so he was not with us, but Katie and Connor were here, as well as my sister and my parents, so it was almost perfect.

We have no plans for the new year...other than to bring it in with the boys. To me with all the craziness in our lives, having a low key celebration will be fine with me.

Owen has been ill the past few days, I take him to the pediatrician tomorrow, the on call nurse thinks he might have an ear infection..I hope it's not more serious. He had croup two months ago, and that too nearly 4 weeks to heal. If this is the "less sick" a breast fed baby gets, I would hate to see how sick he would be otherwise.

I took a spill down the steps in our house right after thanksgiving, luckily, I did not die, or break anything. I did however suffer from a grade I AC joint separation in my shoulder. More than anything, I was embarrassed and I for one am glad to put such a clumsy mistake behind me.

Chris has still been managing to stay very busy...still serving on the BOD for the boys school, working toward his masters at DU and of course still working full time for the Federal Gov't as a contractor.
I think once the New Year rolls in, we will be happy to have things somewhat back to normal.

Owen is continuing to grow .. he is a fan of the combat crawl.. once on his tummy, he is all over the house. He was showered with gifts for Christmas, so he has plenty to keep him busy. He is such a joy to have around.. and he is so loved by the whole family.

I hope that with the new year and the new calm, I will be able to post more often.. I will do what I can to have regular pictures, perhaps even some video.
I hope anyone who reads this has a wonderful New Year that is truly filled with wonders and joy.
