Sigh, Obladi Oblada

...here we are Feb 2008, where does the time go? Life does go on, with or without me.

Owen is 10 months old already. He crawls everywhere, can stand with help and eats nearly everything we give him, as long as it's off our plate and not baby food. With only 8 front teeth, he does a great job of chewing!!
He started sleeping through the night last week, and I have gotten a string of nights where I got 6 or more hours of sleep IN A ROW!!I feel seriously energized.

He is still breastfeeding, but I have cut him back to about 3-4 times a day. He sure loves the milkbar. I MAKE MILK!! What's your superpower!!??

Donovan will be 8 next month, his birthday seems to always fall during Spring Break.. when he gets older, I am sure he will be grateful for that. but for now, he is bummed to not have a school day in which to celebrate his special day with his school friends.

Connor is showing signs that he likes it at our house a lot.. that's not to say he doesn't like life at his mom's but the environment over there is so completely different than it is our house. He gets a lot of male bonding and I think he is getting to the age where he really needs that male exposure.

They are both doing well in school, which considering that they are both children from divorce in blended families, they are really presenting as well adjusted.

Chris maintains a steady flow of stress.. some good, some bad. He continues to teach part time, work full time, and serves on the BOD at the boys school.
We are getting rid of the FJ cruiser, since ( by no fault of Chris's) it's just too much for us right now. So we went this weekend to get him a reliable car until we can afford him something a bit....newer and nicer. Until then, he has a stylish 77 Dodge Ramcharger to get around town in.
It suits him well, you look great in it baby!!!

I am still having thyroid issues, at one point I was losing weight, cold all the time, losing hair, and not sleeping well. Then it went the other way, I gained weight, was hot all the time, and wanted to sleep. Its evening out for now, but I still see an endocrinologist to monitor it. They said it was postpartum thyroiditis, and usually takes care of itself, thank goodness..it might make it hard.. wait, you don't know this yet...
...Chris and I have decided to try to add to the family again. After much consideration of course.
Owen will be starting Kindergarten in 2012, Connor will be in 8th grade, and Donovan will be starting 7th. Donovan was much the only child, and we think it will benefit Owen to have a sibling a little closer to his own age.

I am putting some pictures up here, from our recent visit to Oklahoma. Chris's grandfather, for which Owen's name comes from, is ill. He is 84 and may have bone cancer. We wanted the children to see him while he was still healthy, so that they would have good memories of him in case we would not be able to get down there again until this summer. It was good to see everyone, and catch up, His grandma and grandpa celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary,, 65???!!! fantastic!! I will be 99 if Chris and I make it that long.. if my mood swings don't put him in the grave before 50.

For now, I think that's it.

I will be back soon.
