Well, after several months of trying, we have finally succeeded in our efforts to have one more baby!! Yep, I am pregnant!!!
This is how we told most of the world:
We are telling the rest of the world now, well the Internet, or whoever reads this blog...
This will be #5 overall for Chris and I, his 4th, my 3rd, and after this one, we are officially done with making babies.
After much consideration, we realized I am not getting any younger, after all I am 35 now, and very near the high risk line, and Owen has older siblings, who by the time he is in school will have lives of their own and it's quite possible that they will not have a lot of time for their little brother, so now Owen and #5 will be close together in age and won't have to go it alone.
Owen will be nearly 2 years old when #5 comes along, and I know from personal experience, that 2 years is not a bad spread for age in siblings, my sister is just over 2 years older than me and one of my closest and dearest friends!!!
I am excited, yet it has not really sunk in yet, I don't feel pregnant. Maybe its the lack of symptoms, no weight gain, no morning sickness, as I had with my last two pregnancies, I am not more tired, nor hungry than usual, but I have not 1 but 2 tests that prove that I am indeed with child.
We have already decided to keep the gender of this one a surprise for all until the day it's born, but we are naming it after my side of the family. I really want to honor my mother and father by naming one of my children after their families, since there are many members I have never met, only heard about, yet I love and respect so much, I felt it was fitting to carry on their legacies in name.
We are compiling a list and will name the child after it's birth. So until then, I will refer to it affectionately, #5.
I will of course post pictures of my growth, and the ultrasound pic from my first visit at the end of the month.
Thanks for checking in...

About Me
- Heidi
- I was raised in Colorado, but born in Kansas, so I guess that makes me a Kansas native. But home is where the heart is, right? I am a stay at home mom, wife and free spirit. I have an amazing husband who lights up my life with his mere presence in it. I have two amazing sons Donovan, who is 10 years old and Owen who is 3 years old. I am also mommy to a daughter named Julianna Alyse who was born in January 2009. I also have two wonderful step children, Katie who is 15 and Connor who is 11. I have weathered many storms, an eating disorder, and divorce, not to mention life itself and here I am stronger for it!!I love movies, games, (not the head type, thank you) and spending time with my kids, my husband, and my family.
