Boy, I could sleep all day. Seriously. I got tired around 7 pm every night for about 3 weeks when I got pregnant with Donovan. I felt some fatigue, though not extreme with Owen. OH MY GOSH, this time I am tired all the time. At first I couldn't stay awake during the day, without help, and then I was restless at night. Now I am tired all the time. I mean if I stay active, like get up and move around, then I am okay. But if I sit down to read, or even watch TV, I get drowsy.
I did find out that the thyroid issue I was having after my pregnancy with Owen never really resolved itself. I told my OB about the issue and she had the labs I had done test my thyroid levels. Sure enough, I get a call from the Dr last week, I need to be put on synthetic thyroid medicine since mine are too low. I swear I take more medicine during pregnancy than I do any other time. Did I mention that the prenatal vitamins I take now need to be supplemented with DHA?
I think part of me is going to be relived that this is the last time I will ever be pregnant. Each time it takes a larger toll on me physically. Don't get me wrong, I love being pregnant, but making a baby is hard work!!
Anyway, I just wanted to check in and get this off my chest. I hope that the fatigue either resolves itself over time as it has done in the past, or if the fatigue is a result of the thyroid issues, I hope the medicine does its job sooner rather than later.
Next time will be a photo post. See you then!!

About Me
- Heidi
- I was raised in Colorado, but born in Kansas, so I guess that makes me a Kansas native. But home is where the heart is, right? I am a stay at home mom, wife and free spirit. I have an amazing husband who lights up my life with his mere presence in it. I have two amazing sons Donovan, who is 10 years old and Owen who is 3 years old. I am also mommy to a daughter named Julianna Alyse who was born in January 2009. I also have two wonderful step children, Katie who is 15 and Connor who is 11. I have weathered many storms, an eating disorder, and divorce, not to mention life itself and here I am stronger for it!!I love movies, games, (not the head type, thank you) and spending time with my kids, my husband, and my family.
