Okay, so I have been through this having a baby thing 3 times now.. and each time it has been a totally different experience...Julianna will be 3 weeks old this Weds and I am JUST now feeling human again..and only about 85% at that.
We have a good nursing groove going.. she still has some spitting up issues, which I addressed with her Dr. and was reassured they are okay ( normal) and I feel rested..enough that I am back to keeping up with my other household jobs which I did not have the energy to do since..oh like December!!!??
Owen is fascinated by her, he loves on her all the time and there a few times during the day when he gets frustrated when I am holding her so he throws things at her, but as long as we stay positive and don't over react to his throwing, he will re-direct pretty easily.
Donovan is so great with her, he is able to pick her up and hold her and comfort her if for some reason Chris or I can't get to her right away.
He loves on her all the time too.
I can't wait to see her with Connor and Katie..my family gets to meet her in March.
We will go out for a little over a week during Spring Break.
I don't know if I mentioned it, but it seems that our baby girl will have reddish hair.. there are times when it really shows, most times its a very beautiful shade of strawberry blonde.. I love it.. and the funny thing is she displays that 'redhead' kind of temperament sometimes.. not very patient and very demanding.. she wants what she wants when she wants it.
She is getting better at sleeping alone, as in not being held, or sleeping next to me..so I can tell she is growing up..times really flies.
Donovan will be 9 in march..and then right after , Owen will be 2!!!!!!
Chris has his mediation conference this week with his ex wife..I hope it goes well for him.. it has really been heavy on his mind..as you can imagine. Keep him in your thoughts, won't you, that we get to a good agreement regarding the kids. We are all missing them.
Chris is also training to run in the OKC memorial marathon.. yep a full marathon.. he runs 3-5 miles 3 days a week then a big run 10-12 miles once a weekend to prepare... the kids and I will take part in the 5 k walk that goes along with it, for support.
We are staying busy, and starting to feel a better smoother groove with our new addition it will take some time, but I can feel that it is happening. We talked the other night about how it will take some time, but we can both see the adjustments.
Well, my free time is over, Julianna is beckoning me once again.. until next time..

About Me
- Heidi
- I was raised in Colorado, but born in Kansas, so I guess that makes me a Kansas native. But home is where the heart is, right? I am a stay at home mom, wife and free spirit. I have an amazing husband who lights up my life with his mere presence in it. I have two amazing sons Donovan, who is 10 years old and Owen who is 3 years old. I am also mommy to a daughter named Julianna Alyse who was born in January 2009. I also have two wonderful step children, Katie who is 15 and Connor who is 11. I have weathered many storms, an eating disorder, and divorce, not to mention life itself and here I am stronger for it!!I love movies, games, (not the head type, thank you) and spending time with my kids, my husband, and my family.
