Happy St. Patricks Day

Posted by Heidi

I have been doing some reading about the history of todays holiday. Rather that trying to re word it here, I thought I would allow you to go see it for yourself if you like-- you can do so here.

Every year, on this day, I eat mass quantities of corned beef and cabbage, as I watch The Quiet Man and drink Killians.

This is a tradition I have had since about 1993.( thanks mom for sharing this tradition with me) Chris is amazed by it, he was just saying last night, he has never met anyone who religiously eats this food only one time a year..hahaha. He does now!!!

I have other traditions too, but I will go on about those later. The funny thing about them , is that they all involve movies...hmmmm.

I hope you all have some time to celebrate, if you so desire, and if not, then so be it.

Please be safe and have a good weekend.

And in the tradition of the Irish and the day to celebrate St Patrick himself, here is a joke to lighten your mood, enjoy:

Mick staggered home in the wee small hours after a heavy night out with his mates. When he woke up the next morning, he found he was in bed with the dog beside him in his wife's place.

"Glory be!" said Mick. " I must have been really drunk when I got home. I thought there was a lot of noise when I threw the dog out!"
