My parents listened to quite a little bit of classic country music when my sister and I were kids. Hank Williams Sr., Gene Autry, Jim Reeves, Kitty Wells, that sort of style. They listened to rock classics too, but this is about country.
It was funny, I would pride myself on being able to guess who was singing.
I got close many times. But one time, by default, I guessed Charlie Pride first, and I nailed it.. so from that point on, if I didn't get the "male' singer right away, my subsequent guesses would always be Charlie Pride.
To this day, my parents still tease me about it "Hey Heidi, whos this??"
"Charlie Pride!!" hahahahaha
So a few weeks ago, Chris, my sister Dari, my mother, and my son Donovan drove to Texas for a wedding of one of my cousins. While we were driving, we came across a radio station playing classic country. Of course, the story about Charlie Pride came up and so I decided to see how good my son knew classic country. I asked Donovan who was singing.. not to be outdone by my guessing Charlie Pride over and over and over again.. he blurts out "John Hank!!"
...............uh.....uh......
John Hank?? WHO????
We all burst out laughing, since we had never heard of any such person EVER!!
This of course, made him gleeful.(he is so creative)
So now everytime we are in the car, and playing any type of guessing game about who sings it, Donovan always says "John Hank"
I just want to know, does anyone know who John Hank really is?
If you do, let me know, I would love to hear him sing...

About Me
- Heidi
- I was raised in Colorado, but born in Kansas, so I guess that makes me a Kansas native. But home is where the heart is, right? I am a stay at home mom, wife and free spirit. I have an amazing husband who lights up my life with his mere presence in it. I have two amazing sons Donovan, who is 10 years old and Owen who is 3 years old. I am also mommy to a daughter named Julianna Alyse who was born in January 2009. I also have two wonderful step children, Katie who is 15 and Connor who is 11. I have weathered many storms, an eating disorder, and divorce, not to mention life itself and here I am stronger for it!!I love movies, games, (not the head type, thank you) and spending time with my kids, my husband, and my family.
